81. WESTERN EQUIPMENT
g)Junior horses competing in junior western pleasure, western horsemanship, reining, working cow horse, western riding and trail that are shown with a hackamore or snaffle bit may be ridden with two hands on the reins. (reins must be bridged not crossed)

THIS SERVICE WAS PROUDLY DONATED TO THE OVERALL HIGHEST POINT EARNING MARE OF THE STATE SHOW. THE WINNER WAS "KOOLIBAH BELL" OWNED BY ANDREA & SCOTT KLIENDIENST.

The GQH&PA Comittee would like to send their apologies to all effected by the unfortunate events incurred during the State Show Dressage and Hacking and we hope to see you back again next year for a much more successful result.
2011 CELEBRATION SHOW AND STATE SHOWS:
GQHPA PROPOSE TO HOLD THE WESTERN BREEDS CELEBRATION SHOW AND THE QLD STATE QUARTER HORSE CHAMPIONSHIPS IN 2011. THE PROPOSED DATES FOR THIS WILL BE 27TH JUNE TO 4TH JULY 2011. WE HOPE TO HAVE A TWO JUDGE SYSTEM AT THE CELEBRATION SHOW (1 USA JUDGE & 1 AUST JUDGE), THIS MEANS DOUBLE POINTS AND THEN FOLLOWED BY OUR USUAL INTERNATIONAL JUDGE AT THE STATE SHOW & EFA JUDGE FOR HACK & DRESSAGE.
KEEP CHECKING OUR WEBSITE FOR CONFIRMATION AND UPDATES. THIS WILL BE A BIG WEEK FOR QUEENSLAND.

SECRETARY - KEEP THE MINUTES AND TYPE OUT CORRESPONDENCE NEEDED & DEAL WITH ENQUIRIES
TREASURER - KEEP RECORDS OF INCOMING & OUTGOING FUNDS & PRESENT TO MEETINGS
PROMOTIONS OFFICER - FOLLOW UP ON ALL SPONSORS AND TRADE STALL HOLDERS FOR TWO SHOWS EACH YEAR (CELEBRATION & STATE SHOW). LIST IS ALL THERE FOR YOU.
PLEASE PUT YOUR HAND UP AND GIVE A BIT OF YOUR TIME TO YOUR CLUB AS THE SAME FEW CANNOT CONTINUE TO DO IT ALL. PREVIOUS POSITION HOLDERS ARE MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP YOU OUT AND GIVE PREVIOUS DETAILS AND CONTACTS.
STATE SHOW COMMITTEE NEEDED:
We will also neeed a State Show committee and hold State Show Meetings. The committee will need to include an EFA member to take care of the EFA side of things also I will need a couple of other helpers to get things prepared. PLEASE PUT YOUR HAND UP IF YOU WOULD LIKE A STATE SHOW.

CORINA WOULD LIKE SOMEONE TO ASSIST WITH THE CALCULATION OF OUR END OF YEAR HIGH POINT AWARDS FOR 2010 - 2011 YEAR.. PLEASE CALL HER IF YOU FEEL YOU CAN GIVE SOME TIME FOR THIS.

TO BE HELD AT HATTONVALE GOLF CLUB ON OCTOBER 2ND AT 6 PM. HATTONVALE GOLF CLUB MENU FOR ALL IS AVAILABLE ON THE NIGHT. PRIZES FOR OUR DEDICATED CLUB MEMBERS & HIGH POINTS FOR THE YEAR WITH SURPRISES!!
SUPPORT THE CLUB THAT SUPPORTED YOU FOR 2010 AND BE THERE TO SHARE A DRINK AND BITE WITH OTHER MEMBERS WHILE YOU VOTE YOUR NEW COMMITTEE IN.
AGM meal and drinks not supplied, buy your own, all positions become Vacant at the AGM.
CLINIC:
October 30th & 31st we are holding a clinic run by Leanne Bartlett this Clinic will be run Saturday for all led classes (Halter, Showmanship Led Trail) up first and then on to basic beginner starting with ground work then onto basic riding then on Sunday 31st Leanne will run a more advance clinic for those who are already confident with there horse but are looking for something a little more.
Spaces for this clinic are limited to 10 for the Saturday to ensure you receive quality time with Leanne then 12 on Sunday for the more advanced. The Fee for this clinic will be $60 per day including lunch and you can either book 1 day or 2, but get in quick to ensure a place as this will fill up fast.
Contact Corinaif you would like to be a fence sitter. Cost will be $30 with Lunch or $20 without lunch.
