EDITOR’S MESSAGE

Firstly I would like to say that the newsletter usually comes out the first week of every month but due to the June show program being changed this issue will be sent to you a little earlier. In this issue I have included June Show program for members who don’t have a computer. A list of all the sponsors who have donated prizes/money for the big 3 day show in June. Please support them as they have supported our club. Futurity Winners with photos from the May show taken by Christine Sewell. Thank you.  We also have a letter of appreciation and coming events for other clubs.
The next newsletter will come out first week of July so please send me some photos from the June show.
Sending by email please reduce them to 500kb or below as I only have dial up. No photos accepted over this.
Until next time, Keep on riding,
Your Editor
Bernardette Hall

NOTES FROM YOUR SECRETARY
How good it is to see the Equine Flu virus is finally behind us.
Hopefully now the equine industry can recover and we can all move on and up.
The Gatton Club is certainly back into full swing after a very successful “AA” May Show.
The weather could not have been better if we had ordered it so, even being mild enough to sit outside our camps well into the night. The numbers could have been better, but there were no complaints from those who did show. Debby Cameron did a great job and really kept the program moving, so we all finished early with plenty of time to be home before dark.
It was the final running of the Gatton Futurity (results are in this newsletter)and again numbers were very disappointing.  However I believe the club has some great ideas for next season which it’s hoped will bring the numbers back.
Since the May show your committee have all been working non-stop to make sure The Gatton View Hotel Celebration All Breeds Show will be a great success.  Even if you’re not competing you must come along and support the club.  There will be trade exhibitors, raffles with fantastic prizes, lots of good food and coffee, and heaps of excitement starting from 8.30 everyday.
On the Saturday evening (7th June) we are holding a Spit Roast Buffet on the grounds, if you are not competing but would like to join us please let me know as soon as you read this($20 per person).
That’s all for now except to ask everyone to pray for good weather, good fun and a very successful June Show.
Gail
